𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐚 𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐚? Glad you asked. Raposa are an original species I created. Essentially, they're a mammalian species that is fully intersex, meaning that they ALL have both male and female genitalia, as well as both sets of reproductive systems. For this reason, there is no male or female. Some raposa may choose to identify as more male or female LEANING, but they do not have true genders and thus are all able to reproduce with one another. (But no, they cannot reproduce with themselves...)

Goddess Terosa is a direct self-insert fursona. She is me, purely unedited, and by any and all definitions. The reason she is depicted as a goddess is because I am the creator of the raposa species and, by extension, the raposa world (called Poko). So as my self-insert, I translated that into the fictional setting. My sona is literally the creator of their world and all of the raposa that dwell therein. Hence, she's a goddess. Her name was taken from the Greek word "mitera" (meaning "mother") and the Italian word "rosa" (meaning "rose"). So her name literally translates to "Mother Rose".

𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐚-𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐭??

Terosa is depicted as permanently pregnant. And believe it or not, there is valid reason behind this. Pregnancy is the universal symbol of motherhood. So the idea of making Goddess Terosa permanently pregnant is symbolic. Because it represents that she is the "mother". The one who created ("gave birth to") the land of raposa and all of them as a whole. It gives deeper meaning to referring to them as her children. Or in my case, calling the characters my "babies". It's literally symbolic of her being the mother of all creation within the world of the raposa.

𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐢𝐬 𝐬𝐡𝐞 𝐧𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐝???

Terosa is almost always drawn nude. Very rarely do I draw her with any sort of clothing on. There is reasoning behind this as well, and believe it or not, it's not for sexual reasons. It's more because of being naturalistic. Gods are pure. They have no need for clothing. And furthermore, it's also a nod to classical renaissance art where nudity is incredibly common. Think "Birth of Venus" by Sandro Botticelli or "Statue of David" by Michelangelo. (If you're not familiar with those pieces, they're both in Animal Crossing. Venus is the "Moving Painting" and David is the "Gallant Statue".) Very often, especially when depicting gods and other divine beings, artists portrayed these figures in the nude. So I kind of wanted to allude to that. Especially considering the fact that sex is one of the things she patronizes. So while her nudity in and of itself is not for a sexual reason, it still is also symbolic of part of what she represents. That being said, I will still draw her clothed when I plan on showing her to people who are not as open to seeing nudity, but for the most part, she will be drawn nude.

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐬 𝐓𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐚 𝐇𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐲?

And lastly, put bluntly, Terosa is a bit of a glutton. Her favorite kind of offering is food, especially baked goods, and especially LEMON baked goods. Presenting her with a food offering of some sort (assuming she is fond of the food you present to her) is very likely to please her and grant you her blessings. But do not try to offer her alcohol. Pregnancy aside, she has a strong hatred for it. She can't stand the taste and hates when people are drunk. So trying to offer something like wine is not the way to win her affections. But present her with a LEMON CAKE.... that just might get you laid.
